FAQ: Moving with Glo Fiber

If you’re a current Glo Fiber customer, we may be able to transfer your service to your new home—if it’s within our service area. Our team will check availability and schedule a smooth transition, including installation at your new address.

If your new home isn’t in a Glo Fiber area, we can help you understand your options, including ending service with minimal hassle.
Setting up Glo Fiber in a new home is easy. Once you confirm your new address is within our service area, we’ll schedule an installation appointment. Our technician will bring everything needed, set up your fiber internet, and ensure your WiFi network covers your home efficiently. Typically, the install process is quick and straightforward. If the new home has previously had Glo Fiber service, it may be possible to set up service using your existing routers. Simply call customer service and they will help transfer service over the phone - no technician appointment required.
Yes! If your home is within our service area, and you have access to the home ahead of time, you can schedule your installation before your move-in date so you’ll have high-speed internet ready from day one. You will still need to make sure someone can be at the address during the installation.

Make sure to coordinated with the current owners to make sure your install does not conflict with their move out schedule.
Oh no! We will be sorry to see you go. If your new home is outside of a Glo Fiber service area, we will help you coordinate ending service. We are continually building new areas every day. We recommend staying in touch, by pre-registering your new address at glofiber.com right away. We will let you know as soon as we are available in your new neighborhood so you can switch back.
If you’re moving within our service area, we typically transfer your account to the new address, so cancellation isn’t required. If moving out of our service area, we can help you cancel your service and ensure the process is simple and hassle-free.
Yes! Fiber installation is similar in every home. Our technician will connect a single fiber line to an ONT device and set up your WiFi network to cover the entire home. The only difference will be if fiber in your area is delivered underground or aerial. For aerial service, the incoming line will come from a utility pole to the box on the side of your house. For underground, the line will be buried on your property from the street to your house. Either way, the in-home portion of the install will be identical.
